On June 4, U.S. Representative Michele Bachmann (R-MN) introduced the Taxpayer Protection and Anti-Fraud Act, which would prohibit any organization that has been indicted for violations of state or federal election laws from accessing taxpayer dollars through Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs.  You can check out her introduction announcement at http://bachmann.house.gov/News/DocumentSingle.aspx?DocumentID=130885.

I’m proud of the Congresswoman for confronting groups, like ACORN, who seem to think that the laws do not apply to them, and that they have an absolute right to pick the pockets of hard-working Americans.  Their behavior is beyond disgraceful, as is the behavior of their advocates in Cpngress.

I am saddened by the fact that we have reached a point where we need to have legislation to say that people or organizations who commit fraud should not get taxpayer money.  And not only have we reached this sad point, but the legislation will have opponents in the Congress.

We REALLY need to take our country back!

P.S.  As we move into June, let’s take a moment at noon to pray for the families of those who are affected by the forced closings of those 700+ care dealerships.
